This is a continuation of MENTARI’s previous paper on a new paradigm for power sector policies in Indonesia. This new paradigm paper cover one of the three thematic papers that MENTARI contributes, which is improving the electricity system planning process in Indonesia. It starts with a stocktake of the current national electricity planning process, then a proposal of a more integrated process for the national electricity plan: increase the scope of the planning approach, broaden the planning mechanism, and refine the methodology.
