This report is the first part of a series of Blue Energy reports. This document discusses the development status of blue energy worldwide and what has changed since 2015. It covers the aspects from policy, technology innovation, to the financial frameworks supporting blue energy development. This document also identifies the implications of blue energy’s environmental and socio-cultural impacts. It contributes to a wider initiative in kick-starting and incentivizing blue energy in Indonesia.
